All-natural, grass-fed beef and heritage pork from a multi-generational family farm.
White Sulphur Farms is a multi-generational family farm spanning nearly 400 acres of fields and forests in Hall County, Georgia. The Reynolds family first settled the land in 1802, and their descendants continue to work it today. The farm raises Aberdeen/Belted Galloway cross cattle for grass-fed beef and Tamworth hogs, one of the oldest domesticated pig breeds in the world. The cattle herd traces back to 1997, when the Reynolds-Hemmer family introduced their first Belted Galloways. The farm farrows Tamworth hogs twice a year, making pork available at various times. Beef and pork are available for purchase by contacting the farm directly. Learn more on their About Page.
White Sulphur Farms raises its cattle on pasture and describes its beef as 100% all-natural and grass-fed. The Belted Galloway herd has been crossbred with Aberdeen bulls to improve grass-fed meat quality, combining the leanness of both breeds with better marbling and fat distribution. All cattle are raised hormone-free in a low-stress environment. Tamworth pigs are raised on the farm's pastures and in its woodlands. The Tamworth breed is listed as Threatened on The Livestock Conservancy's Conservation Priority List, and the farm's program supports the breed's preservation.
