Western Daughters Butcher Shoppe sources exclusively from farms with regenerative practices that prioritize soil and ecosystem health. None of its animals are given antibiotics or hormones, and none are confined. Ruminants, including beef cattle and lamb, are never fed grain and are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished year round. Beef and lamb come from Buckner Family Ranch in Longmont, CO, an 800-acre multi-species regenerative operation that raises American Shorthorn cattle and Dorper sheep on grass and their own hay. Pork is Berkshire breed, raised on organic corn and soy by the Kautz family at Cottonwood Creek Farms in Merino, CO, exclusively for Western Daughters. Chicken is sourced from Amish-raised Cornish Cross birds at Miller Farms in Indiana, fed corn and soy. The shop works directly with each farm, with many of these partnerships spanning close to a decade.
