Overview

Urban produce farm growing vegetables and herbs for food access partners across the Denver metro area.

Ekar Farm is a diversified urban produce farm rooted in a Jewish vision of environmental sustainability and social justice. Founded in 2010, it targets growing approximately 20,000 pounds of fresh produce each season, distributed to food access partners including food pantries, senior living organizations, immigrant CSA programs, and meal kit initiatives for schools. Beyond growing food, Ekar offers youth education programs on ecology and food systems, supports community gardens through its Cooperative Garden Initiative, and hosts volunteer opportunities on the farm. The farm also provides seeds, seedlings, and compost to organizations throughout Colorado and Wyoming in partnership with the Food Bank of the Rockies. Learn more on their About Page.
