Tomatero Farm is a certified organic farm on the Central Coast of California, founded in 2004 by Adriana Silva and Chris Tuohig. The farm grows a wide range of seasonal produce, including tomatoes, strawberries, blackberries, kale, chard, lettuce, squash, brassicas, and other vegetables. Tomatero sells its produce at farmers markets. The name "Tomatero" reflects the farm's roots: it means tomato picker in Spanish, a nod to the first crop Adriana and Chris ever grew.
Tomatero Farm has been certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) since the farm began in 2004, and holds USDA National Organic Program certification for both crops and handling. The farm grows its tomatoes using dry-farming methods. Its coastal location in the Pajaro Valley provides a temperate climate suited to year-round growing.
