Tiny family farm offering raw goat milk herd shares, farm-fresh eggs, and livestock in Chugiak.
The Tiny Home(stead) is a small family farm that got its start in 2018 when its founders moved into a tiny house they built on their Chugiak property. The farm's signature offering is a year-round raw goat milk herd share program, structured under Alaska's herd share statute, with a base share of one half gallon of raw milk per week. Shares can also include cheese, cream, and kefir. Pickups are at the farm in Chugiak, with limited availability at an Anchorage site. Beyond milk, the farm sells Nigerian Dwarf and Mini-Alpine goats seasonally, offers chicken and duck eggs through a summer flock share, raises KuneKune pigs for meat or as pets, and provides young poultry including chickens, ducks, and geese. The farm also hosts baby goat events for groups.
The Tiny Home(stead) states its goal is to raise animals humanely and close to their natural environment, providing good food, comfortable housing, and access to pasture. The goat herd includes Nigerian Dwarf and Mini-Alpine breeds. Raw milk is available year-round, though production slows in winter months; during slower periods the farm gives priority to families with babies or children who have dietary needs for the milk. The farm notes it can work with customers facing financial hardship on pricing arrangements.
