Rafter M Farm

Rafter M Farm uses regenerative agriculture practices, including rotational grazing: cattle move to fresh pasture every few weeks so the grass can fully recover, building soil health and preventing overgrazing. Beef cattle are pasture-raised through summer and fed locally grown hay in winter, then finished on Alaska-grown barley, oats, and peas plus non-GMO alfalfa pellets, with no vaccinations, hormones, or antibiotics. Dairy cows are fed Alaska-grown Delta barley, black oil sunflower seeds, non-GMO alfalfa pellets, and locally grown hay, with no corn and no soy. The dairy herd is genome-tested and confirmed A2/A2, and milk is machine-milked twice daily into stainless steel, then immediately filtered and chilled. Pigs are raised on a no-corn, no-soy diet. Garden produce is grown from non-GMO seed. Soaps are made with raw milk or whey from the farm's dairy cows, locally foraged Alaskan herbs, responsibly sourced oils, and natural colorants.
