Sun Circle Farm is a USDA Certified Organic small farm that has been growing high-quality produce and cut flowers since 2011. Founded and led by farmer Anne-Corinne, the farm has expanded over the years to about 3 acres under cultivation, with 11 passive covered structures and one heated greenhouse. Sun Circle Farm sells its produce and flowers at seasonal farmers markets, including the Matanuska Community Market in Palmer and the South Anchorage Farmers Market. The farm also offers seasonal flower shares, including a summer share, a winter share, and a spring share, giving subscribers weekly bouquets throughout the season. Learn more on their About Page.
Sun Circle Farm has been USDA Certified Organic since 2017, certified under Oregon Tilth, and undergoes annual site inspections with thorough record-keeping. The farm never uses chemical herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers. Current growing methods include minimal tillage, occultation, mulching, and flame weeding, with the goal of reducing soil disturbance in cold northern soils. The farm takes a holistic approach to agriculture, focusing on healthy living soils and biologically diverse plant rotations. It is also working toward carbon sequestration and soil health, with plans for hedgerows and expanding perennial crops to support beneficial insects and birds.
