The Fresh Patch

The Fresh Patch is a 5-acre homestead farm in Benson, IL operated by Levi and Jaqie, who have worked the land since 2014. The farm specializes in garlic, offering both culinary and seed garlic in hardneck and softneck varieties. Featured varieties include Music, a hardneck type known for large creamy-white bulbs and a medium-hot bite, and Inchelium Red, a softneck variety recognized for its robust flavor and plump cloves. Beyond fresh bulbs, the farm produces garlic-based seasonings made from its own homegrown garlic, including garlic powder, garlic salt, and a salted garlic pepper grinder. Products are sold by the bulb or by the pound.
