Urban farm offering a CSA, weekly farm stand, produce, eggs, honey, flowers, and farm classes in Lakewood.
The Fleischer Family Farm is an urban farm in Lakewood, Colorado run by co-owners Paul and Chelsie Fleischer. What began as a home garden to feed their family has grown into one of the Denver Metro area's larger CSA operations, serving over 175 share members each season. The farm offers a summer CSA program, a fall CSA, and a canning share option for bulk produce pickups. A weekly farm stand carries produce, eggs, honey, homemade soaps, and flower bouquets. The farm also sells cage-free eggs and local honey year-round when supplies allow, and provides home garden consultations and farm classes. Flowers are available for weddings and special events. Learn more on their About Page.
The Fleischer Family Farm produces all its food without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, and grows all produce from non-GMO seed. The farm uses low-till practices, cover crop rotations, vermicompost, and traditional compost to build soil health. Beneficial insects, including honeybees, praying mantises, and ladybugs, are introduced to manage pests naturally rather than through chemical intervention. Companion planting and high-intensity growing methods are also part of the farm's approach. The farm operates under the Colorado Proud business certification and works with the NRCS to support environmentally sustainable practices on-site.
