Sweet Adeline Bakeshop is a neighborhood bakeshop in the Lorin District of South Berkeley, established in 2005. Everything is made in small batches, with a range that spans cakes, pies, cupcakes, cookies, and both sweet and savory pastries. Custom cakes are available to order. Among its signature items is a chocolate Pavé Torte made with Guittard bittersweet chocolate. The bakery also offers coffee and operates as a woman-owned business.
Sweet Adeline Bakeshop makes its goods in small batches and uses some organic and local ingredients. Eggs are sourced from Petaluma Farms, and dairy comes from Clover. The bakery buys much of its fruit from farmers who sell at the Berkeley Farmer's Market.
