Spring Valley Honey Farms is a family-owned apiary in Perry, Iowa, operated by the Bronnenberg family. Curt Bronnenberg is a second-generation beekeeper, and the farm has been managing honeybee colonies for over 40 years. The operation runs 5,000 colonies and produces more than 250,000 pounds of honey annually. Products include raw and unfiltered honey, hot honey, creamed honey, honey lemonade and popsicles, elderberry elixir, beeswax candles, bath and body products, jewelry, and honeybee apparel. Honey is available in sizes ranging from 2-ounce bears to 55-gallon drums. The farm also sells live bees and a full line of beekeeping supplies and equipment. Learn more on their About Page.
Spring Valley Honey Farms produces its honey across a network of colonies placed in multiple Iowa counties, keeping its sourcing local to the state. The honey is sold raw and unfiltered. The farm's daughters assist with bottling honey and making the bath and beauty products by hand from honey and beeswax. In addition to honey production, the farm provides pollination services to Iowa orchards during summer and to almond orchards in California during winter months.
