Small-scale vegetable farm offering weekly CSA shares and seasonal produce grown without chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
Speedwell Farm & Gardens is a 2-acre vegetable farm founded in 2017 by Cody Jurbala and Melissa Ogilvie, operating at the Treehouse Farm Collective north of Boulder. The farm grows a wide range of seasonal vegetables, from spring greens and radishes through summer tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and squash, to fall roots and winter squash. Speedwell offers a weekly CSA program running from late May through early October, using a market-style pickup format where members fill their own bags from a display table. At CSA pickups, members can also source meat and eggs from other local farms and flowers from farm partner Artemis Flower Farm. Learn more on their About Page.
Speedwell Farm & Gardens does not use chemical pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or non-food-grade materials on the farm. The farm draws from multiple ecological frameworks, including organic, regenerative, biodynamic, permaculture, bio-intensive, and closed-loop systems, applying what best fits its small-scale context. It is committed to minimal tillage and minimal use of heavy machinery in its growing spaces. In the event of a crop shortfall, the farm sources from other local farms to fulfill CSA shares.
