Second-generation specialty coffee roaster established in Boulder since 1985.
Silver Canyon Coffee is a second-generation family business roasting specialty coffee in Boulder, Colorado, founded in 1985. It offers one of the widest selections of specialty coffees available, with as many as 30 unique origins, including distinctive house blends, single-origin, microlot, and limited-release coffees. Silver Canyon was among the first small-batch specialty roasters in Boulder, and its knowledge spans multiple generations and paradigms in the coffee industry. Coffees are available for online purchase, in bulk bags, and through a Boulder County Farmers Markets selection. The business also provides wholesale services to coffee shops, restaurants, and specialty retailers. Learn more on their About Page.
Silver Canyon Coffee follows a fully manual roasting process developed over many thousands of hours of refinement, roasting four days a week. Green coffee is stored in a humidity-controlled environment to protect against Colorado's dry climate, and the team monitors temperature, moisture content, ambient humidity, barometric pressure, and temperature each roasting day to make precise adjustments. The business cultivates long-term relationships with both farmers and importers to source its green coffee, some of those relationships spanning decades. After roasting, coffee is delivered to customers within one to three days of leaving the roaster. A service team works in the field to maintain and calibrate grinders, brewers, and espresso machines at wholesale accounts.
