Certified organic Kona coffee and Mamaki herbal tea grown on a 20-acre Big Island farm.
South Kona Farms is a 20-acre certified organic farm in the South Kona district of Hawaii's Big Island, growing and selling 100% organic Kona coffee and Mamaki herbal tea. The farm was founded by John Redden, who has been committed to organic farming on the island since 2003. South Kona Farms grows, harvests, and roasts its own coffee beans, and grows Mamaki tea year-round. The farm also operates a farm stand open most Fridays. Coffee is hand-sorted at the farm before sale. Products are available through the farm's online shop as well as at the farm stand. Learn more on their About Page.
South Kona Farms holds organic certification from the WFCFO (Washington State Department of Agriculture-accredited certifier). The farm leverages the unique microclimates of the South Kona district, shaped by the volcanic topography, elevation, and wind patterns of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, to grow its coffee and tea. Coffee is grown as Ohia forest-grown shade coffee. Each batch of coffee and tea is hand-sorted at the farm. The farm grows, harvests, and roasts its own Kona coffee beans entirely on-site, following an estate model from seed to cup. Mamaki tea is grown organically and is also WFCFO-certified.
