Certified organic, 100% Kona coffee grown and roasted on a family estate.
Kona Rainforest Coffee Farm is a family-run estate and roastery producing certified organic 100% Kona coffee. The farm spans more than 80 acres and was grown from just five planted acres after the family purchased it over 20 years ago. Its lineup includes Single Varietal, Private Reserve Estate, and rare Peaberry coffees, each roasted in small batches and packed by hand. Single Varietal offerings include Red Bourbon, SL34, and K7, while Private Reserve options range from Extra Fancy to Peaberry and Chateau grades. The farm also offers tours and merchandise alongside its coffee.
Kona Rainforest Coffee Farm holds USDA Organic certification, and its certificates are publicly available on its website. The farm describes itself as one of the last certified organic commercial coffee farms in Kona, noting that less than 2% of all Kona coffee is grown organically. Rather than conventional growing techniques, it produces its own mulch, uses naturally enriched fertilizers, and applies natural methods for pest and weed control, avoiding synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. All coffee is hand-picked at peak ripeness, then hand-roasted and hand-packed in small batches. The farm's processing mill and roastery are housed in an 8,000-square-foot facility powered entirely by an off-grid renewable energy system, which also runs on-site accommodations.
