Single-estate Kona coffee roaster growing and air-roasting heirloom coffee, tropical fruits, and nuts on the Big Island.
Hawaiian Mana Farm is a small single-estate farm situated at 1,300 feet elevation in the Kona coffee belt, growing and roasting authentic 100% Kona coffee alongside tropical fruits and nuts. The farm's heirloom "Kona-Typica" coffee trees are close to a century old and have been tended by hand for generations. Farm Manager Yoko Harada and her team, including Certified Master Food Preserver Shinobu Doucette, revived the property after arriving from California in 2006 and renamed it Hawaiian Mana Farm to reflect the spirit of Hawai'i island. Beyond coffee, the farm produces raw unfiltered Hawaiian honey, dehydrated and freeze-dried tropical fruits (apple-bananas, mango, jackfruit), roasted macadamia nuts, and preserved goods. Farm tours are also available on-site. Learn more on their About Page.
Hawaiian Mana Farm uses all-natural methods and applies no chemicals, pesticides, or GMOs. The farm does not use irrigation, relying instead on the natural environment of the Kona coffee belt. Coffee cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, then spread on trays to sun-dry before being hulled, sorted, and stored. The farm air-roasts its coffee to order, directly on the property, so each batch ships fresh. Coffee trees are shaded naturally by tropical fruit and nut trees. Shinobu Doucette holds a Certified Master Food Preserver credential and oversees the farm's preserved and dehydrated products. Hawaiian honey is produced raw and unfiltered, with bees foraging among macadamia, coffee, and exotic fruit trees on the farm.
