Family farm growing seasonal vegetables, eggs, and pasture-raised poultry with a CSA and farmers market presence.
Shrock Family Farm is a family-run operation founded in 2015 by Brandon and Shelly Shrock on their Selma, Indiana property. The farm grows a wide variety of vegetables across one acre and raises pasture-raised chickens for both eggs and meat. Produce is available through a 24-week CSA program running from May through October, an online storefront, and stands at the Minnetrista Farmers Market and Fishers Farmers Market. The farm also sells to various local businesses. Members pick up weekly shares containing 8 to 12 vegetables and herbs, with larger volumes during peak season.
Shrock Family Farm uses sustainable and environmentally sound practices to care for the land. Chickens are pasture-raised for both eggs and meat. The farm grows vegetables across spring, summer, and fall, with crops including lettuces, greens, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, winter squash, brassicas, and herbs, among others. CSA members share in the risk of crop variability due to weather or other production factors, and the farm compensates for any partial shortfalls by substituting other crops ready for harvest at that time.
