Shady Grove Ranch is a 232-acre family-owned farm in Jefferson, Texas, owned and operated by Matt and Jerica Cadman. The farm raises grass-fed beef and soy-free, pasture-raised chicken, pork, turkey, and eggs. Customers can purchase by the cut or in bulk, with pickup available at the ranch and at several drop-off locations across East Texas and the Shreveport area. The farm also operates an on-site farm store carrying its own meats and eggs alongside other goods such as grass-fed dairy, locally roasted coffee, and locally grown produce. Shady Grove Ranch raises all its animals outdoors with access to pasture, sunshine, and fresh air, using a fully rotational management system in which no animal stays in the same area for more than a short period. Beef cattle are 100% grass-fed and finished; pigs, chickens, and turkeys receive species-appropriate feed supplemented by forage from frequent rotation to fresh ground. All poultry and pork feed is soy-free, and the farm works to keep genetically engineered feeds and ingredients out of its entire supply chain. Animals are never given routine medications, growth stimulants, or hormone implants; drugs are reserved for cases of injury or illness only. The farm also avoids pesticides, herbicides, chemical wormers, and artificial additives such as MSG and preservatives in its processed products. Top-quality minerals are made available to livestock year-round.
