Dutch Spring Farm is a family-owned and family-operated farm established in 2017 by Joe and Sarah Thrash near Atlanta, Texas. The farm raises 100% grassfed and grass-finished beef and lamb, pasture-raised pork, pasture-raised chicken, and eggs, all sold directly to consumers. Joe is a former engineer and Sarah is a former nurse, and they apply attention to detail and a focus on producing food raised with integrity. Dutch Spring Farm holds an open-gate policy, welcoming customers to visit and see how and where their meat is raised. Products are available for farm pickup, at designated drop-off locations in the Texarkana and Atlanta areas, through home delivery to those areas, and at the Gateway Farmers' Market in Texarkana. Learn more on their About Page.
All livestock at Dutch Spring Farm are raised on pasture using natural and regenerative farming methods, including management-intensive rotational grazing and low-stress livestock handling techniques. Beef and lamb are 100% grassfed and grass-finished, consuming only grass, forages grown on the farm, and hay in winter. Pigs and chickens are raised on pasture and their diets are supplemented with non-GMO, soy-free, and corn-free feeds. The farm administers no antibiotics, vaccines, de-wormers, steroids, or hormones to its livestock, and applies no pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers to its pastures. All livestock is processed and packaged at state or USDA-inspected facilities in the northeast Texas area, and meat is sealed and frozen for long-term storage.
