River Queen Greens

River Queen Greens is a small-scale vegetable farm located in Lower Coast Algiers on New Orleans' West Bank, situated across the street from the Mississippi River levee. Founded in 2017 by Cheryl Nunes and Annie Moore, the farm grows vegetables year-round in the region's fertile, river-fed soil. It sells primarily to home cooks through a seasonal Farm Share subscription program and at farmers markets, and also offers wholesale. The Farm Share comes in three size options, with pickup locations in the Bywater/Marigny and Algiers Point neighborhoods. EBT payments are accepted, with a Market Match partnership that reduces the price of all EBT-eligible produce purchases by half.
