A family-run CSA delivering weekly boxes of organic vegetables, pastured chicken, and eggs.
Tomkins Farms CSA is a family-owned Community Supported Agriculture operation founded by Jim Tomkins and his son James. The farm grows over 50 different types of vegetables each year, offering members wide variety from week to week. Veggie CSA members receive weekly deliveries averaging 4 to 7 lbs. and containing 6 to 8 different vegetable types, along with any fresh fruits and herbs the farm grows. Members can also add eggs to their deliveries on a routine basis. In addition to the Veggie CSA, the farm offers a Meat and Egg CSA, providing whole pastured chickens and eggs delivered monthly. Membership plans are flexible, with standard year-round options as well as seasonal plans covering spring (March through June) and fall (September through December). Learn more on their About Page.
Tomkins Farms CSA uses organic agricultural practices across its vegetable growing operation. The farm has worked to identify which vegetables thrive in the southern Louisiana climate, and grows more than 50 varieties annually. Vegetables in CSA deliveries reflect what is grown seasonally at the time. The farm raises pastured chickens and produces eggs available through both the Veggie CSA and a dedicated Meat and Egg CSA.
