Overview
Family farm selling grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork and poultry, free-range eggs, and raw milk dairy.
Richardson Farms is a family farm owned and operated by Jim and Kay Richardson. Jim is a retired veterinarian and Kay is a retired registered nurse. Jim grew up in north Texas helping his grandfather on the farm, and that lifelong love for animals led the two of them to build Richardson Farms. The farm raises grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, pasture-raised poultry, free-range chicken eggs, and grain products, alongside a full dairy and creamery offering raw milk. Products are available for pre-order pickup at the farm store seven days a week, and the farm sells at Saturday farmers markets in Austin and Georgetown. Store hours are for pre-ordered products. Learn more on their About Page.
Animals are never given hormones or antibiotics. Cattle are entirely raised on pastures, eating the grasses on the farm's own fields. Pigs live and roam in open fields and are never held in confinement. Poultry is raised on pasture and allowed to forage for bugs and grasses. The dairy herd consists of A2/A2 Jersey cows that are raised hormone-free and antibiotic-free. The farm holds a Raw Milk for Retail Permit, allowing customers to pick up raw milk directly at the dairy.
