Radiance Dairy is an organic, grass-fed dairy farm in Fairfield, Iowa, established in the 1980s by Francis Thicke. The farm milks a herd of A2 Jersey cows and processes its milk on-site, producing bottled milk, yogurt, and cheese. Starting from 176 acres, the operation has grown to 730 acres and runs about 90 milking cows, with 160 head of cattle in total. Radiance Dairy holds USDA organic certification and practices rotational grazing, which it credits with building rich prairie soils. The farm builds soil fertility through crop rotation, composting, and nurturing soil microbial life, and avoids synthetic chemicals. The herd consists of A2 Jersey cows, a breed choice the farm makes intentionally. All milk is processed on the farm itself.
