Rabbit River Farms

Rabbit River Farms is a family egg farm founded in 1992 by Steve and Lynn Easterbrook in Richmond, BC. It holds the distinction of being the first certified organic egg producer in Canada and the first SPCA-certified (humane) farm in the country. The farm produces organic, free range, free run, duck, and quail eggs, and also supplies food service customers. Steve Easterbrook helped write the original Canadian certified organic egg production standards, later adopted by the Certified Organic Association of BC. A network of local BC family farms contributes to the Rabbit River Farms grading program, with grading, packing, and logistics handled by Golden Valley Foods, a local BC company.
