Family-run organic vegetable farm selling at farmers' markets in Massachusetts.
Plato's Harvest Organic Farm is a small, family-run farm in Middleboro, Massachusetts, growing vegetables on roughly three acres. Dave Purpura began farming full-time in 2005, bringing a lifelong interest in growing food from the ground up. His wife Sasha joined him on the farm and has been involved in both the growing and the wider food community the farm supports. The farm sells its produce at farmers' markets and has previously offered CSA shares, with weekly boxes spanning a wide range of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Past CSA shares have included potatoes, kale, tomatoes, garlic, squash, eggplant, peppers, carrots, beets, lettuces, and pick-your-own options. Learn more on their About Page.
Plato's Harvest describes itself as an organic farm. Its vegetable growing spans a diverse range of crops, including heirloom and specialty varieties such as fingerling potatoes, lacinato kale, red Russian kale, and dragon's lingerie beans. The farm has also raised goats and lambs.
