Small-scale pastured pork and chicken farm with an on-farm self-serve farm stand.
Revival Farm is a small-scale farm in Plympton, Massachusetts, owned and operated by husband and wife Justin and Kathryn Shepard. The farm raises pastured pork and chicken, selling direct to customers, local restaurants, and farm stands. Pigs are raised from farrow to finish and sold package by package in cuts including bacon, sausage, pork chops, and roasts. A self-serve farm stand on the property lets customers pick up pork products directly. The farm is based on a restored 1840s Greek Revival farmhouse, and the Shepards have raised hundreds of pigs on the property since starting with their first three. Learn more on their About Page.
Revival Farm raises Berkshire, Tamworth, and Yorkshire cross pigs, breeds selected for their darker, more marbled pork. The pigs are given free-range access to pasture, where they roam, forage, and roll in the mud. Their diet consists of vegetable and bread scraps sourced from the farm's kitchen and a few local restaurants, supplemented with all-natural, antibiotic-free grain. Pigs are raised from farrow to finish on the farm.
