Certified organic farm offering pasture-raised meat, produce, grains, eggs, and CSA share boxes.
Freedom Food Farm is a 90-acre certified organic farm founded in 2012 in Raynham, Massachusetts. It is operated by farmers Chuck Currie and Marie Kaziunas, who together bring nearly 30 years of organic and regenerative farming experience. The farm grows field vegetables, grains, and year-round greens across multiple greenhouses, and raises pasture-based livestock on 30 acres. Products include produce, grains, eggs, pasture-raised meat, and seasonal preserves. Customers can access the farm's food through CSA share boxes, a farm store, farmers' markets, home delivery, and a farm membership program. Learn more on their About Page.
Freedom Food Farm is certified organic, and describes its practices as going beyond what certification requires. It uses regenerative and no-till farming methods, cover-cropping, and field rotation between vegetable production, cover crop, pasture, and fallow to improve soil health. No synthetic chemicals, pesticides, or GMO seeds are used on the farm. Soil fertility comes from the farm's own compost, plant-based fertilizer, legumes, and rotation with pasture-raised animals. Livestock are rotationally grazed and are an integral part of the farm ecosystem, contributing manure and keeping pest populations in check. A portion of the land is kept as natural habitat, including woods, wetlands, and stream banks. The beef offered in share boxes is described as grass-fed and finished. The farm also notes a focus on carbon sequestration through its soil health practices.
