Family-run pasture-raised farm offering beef, pork, chicken, lamb, eggs, and vegetables via farm stand, barn store, and CSA shares.
Ox Hollow Farm is a diversified, family-operated farm established in 1997 by Mark Maynard, nestled at the gateway of Litchfield County. The farm produces pasture-raised Angus beef, Berkshire pork, free-range chicken, seasonal turkeys, lamb, brown eggs, and a variety of garden vegetables, including sweet corn. Products are available through a seasonal farm stand, a barn store, local farmers markets across Connecticut and New York, select natural food markets, and two CSA programs. One CSA is a meat share featuring beef, pork, chicken, and lamb cuts across five shares; the other is an 18-week vegetable share.
Ox Hollow Farm raises all livestock on pasture, using rotational grazing throughout the spring and fall months. During winter, animals are housed in open housing with access to hay and non-GMO corn silage, all grown and processed on the farm. The farm produces hormone-free and antibiotic-free meat, and over the past decade has shifted to minimal-spray or no-spray crop management. Mark and Stephanie Maynard hold a Private Applicator Certification, and the farm uses organic and non-GMO seed sources for its vegetable gardens. The farm grows its own animal feed and hand-picks its produce.
