Lovelight Farm is a woman-owned market garden in Wilsonville, Alabama, farming three of twelve acres using sustainable and ecological growing methods. It operates under the Certified Naturally Grown label and produces a large variety of vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers. Members can purchase a CSA share for spring or fall seasons, receiving weekly harvested produce picked up at one of five locations. Lovelight also sells at the Pepper Place Farmers Market on Saturdays. The farm partners with local schools to provide hands-on farm experiences and supports student-run farmstand projects. Lovelight Farm holds Certified Naturally Grown certification and grows all produce without chemical pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs. It applies organic and biodynamic practices, including planting according to a moon-cycle calendar and using compost teas, manure, minerals, and beneficial organisms to maintain soil fertility. The farm produces its own compost inputs and focuses on regenerative methods to build long-term soil health. It also practices soil conservation, water conservation, and supports native pollinator habitats on the property.
