Seven-generation North Georgia farm offering seasonal produce, pasture-raised eggs, homemade goods, and farm-to-table weekend breakfast.
Kaluna Farm Retreat is a 92-acre working farm nestled in the creek hollers and bottomlands of the North Georgia Blue Ridge foothills, featuring fields, orchards, and a mountain spring. The land has been homesteaded by the Jones/Gartrell/Fricks family for seven generations, and is now stewarded by Ben and Meghan, who have rejuvenated its fields and forests. The farm produces seasonal vegetables, pasture-raised eggs, fruit preserves, sourdough, and small-batch homemade goods including ferments, teas, salves, and tinctures. On weekends, Kaluna offers a reservation-only farm-to-table breakfast featuring quiches, sourdough toast, house-made preserves, seasonal scones, and farm-grown herbal tea. Its farm kitchen also hosts private dinners, weddings, workshops, and retreats. Learn more on their About Page.
Kaluna Farm states that it is chemical-free in its agricultural practices. The farm uses regenerative farming techniques to increase soil fertility and has planted many perennial species to support both the farm and local wildlife. Eggs are pasture-raised and non-GMO fed. Weekend breakfast ingredients are sourced from the farm itself and from local partners, with the menu varying based on seasonal availability. The farm also grows its own herbs for caffeine-free herbal teas served at breakfast.
