Sheep farm and farm store selling pasture-raised lamb, American Wagyu beef, raw A2 milk, and fresh eggs in Ellijay, Georgia.
Cress Creeks Farm is a working sheep farm and farm store that breeds and raises Katahdin and Dorper hair sheep for gourmet lamb. Its on-site store carries lamb cuts, American Wagyu and Black Angus beef, pork, chicken and duck eggs, raw A2 dairy milk, and seasonal vegetables. Baked goods such as breads, pies, and cheese straws are made in-house, and custom cakes are available by order. The farm also sells breeding stock and offers visitors the chance to tour the property, feed the animals, and attend events including a seasonal fall corn maze, felting classes, and farm-to-table dinners.
Cress Creeks Farm raises its Katahdin and Dorper sheep on organically managed pastures and states that animals are never given hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. Lambs are raised outdoors on pasture and fed natural orchard grass, clover, and alfalfa. The farm uses rotational grazing to cycle animals through pasture. It cuts and bales its own hay from the valley to control the feed supply from the ground up. Pastures are custom-blended to support four-season forage. Lamb is processed at a USDA-certified facility and can be cut and vacuum-sealed to the buyer's specifications. Beef is sourced locally from Alabama and north Georgia and brought in fresh from the processor.
