Hoadley Hills Farm is a fourth-generation family farm in South Kent, Connecticut, founded by Tyler and Haley Hoadley in 2021. Tyler was raised on the land and is the fourth generation of his family to farm it. The farm raises pasture-raised chicken, turkey, pork, and eggs, with grass-fed beef also available. Its chicken is USDA Certified Organic, making Hoadley Hills Farm the first certified organic livestock producer in the state. Products are available for purchase online through the farm's own ordering platform, with home delivery offered. Learn more on their About Page.
Hoadley Hills Farm uses regenerative farming methods built around rotational grazing. Chickens are moved to a fresh section of pasture every morning to forage for bugs and grass, and their diet is supplemented with organic grain. Pigs are moved to a fresh paddock each week and their diet is supplemented with organic grain and whey sourced from Arethusa Farm. Turkeys and laying hens are similarly moved on a regular rotation to ensure constant access to fresh forage. Cattle are rotationally grazed daily. The farm feeds all animals organic grain, sourced from Stone House in New York. No antibiotics or hormones are given to animals, and no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers are applied to the land.
