Grass-raised, grain-finished beef from a three-generation family farm, sold by the cut year-round.
Farmers Wife is a multi-generational family farm that raises and sells hormone-free beef by the cut. Three generations currently work the operation, with farming roots stretching back several generations further. The farm raises a crossbreed of Angus, Simmental, and Gelbvieh cattle, selected for what the family describes as hybrid vigor. Beef is available year-round and sold in-store by the cut. Farmers Wife raises cattle on pasture, rotating them into fresh grazing ground every few days and keeping them off any given area for at least ten days after moving. The herd is grass-raised: cattle remain on pasture until approximately five months before processing, then receive a ration of farm-grown hay and grain to support growth, texture, and flavor. No growth hormones are used. Antibiotics are not administered beyond required vaccinations to keep the herd disease-free. Wildlife habitat areas are maintained across the property.
