Overview
Grass-fed lamb, beef, pork, and pasture-raised eggs available through a meat CSA with farm pick-up.
Everyday Farm was founded in 2018 by Hannah Sol and Joseph Connelly, who began with market gardening and a Vegetable CSA before expanding into livestock. The farm raises Katahdin Hair Sheep, heritage-breed hogs, and grass-fed beef cattle, and offers pasture-raised eggs. Animals graze across fields in Gill, Bernardston, and Leyden. In 2023, Hannah and Joe purchased a 157-acre farm in Bernardston, enrolled in the APR program, which now serves as the main location where animals overwinter. Everyday Farm runs a Meat CSA with pre-order pickup available at both farm locations, offering lamb, beef, pork, chicken, eggs, and select add-ons. Everyday Farm's lamb comes from a flock of Katahdin Hair Sheep that are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, born on the farm, and raised without grain or routine flock-wide antibiotic or dewormer use. During the grazing season, the flock is moved to fresh forage every one to two days at high density using temporary electric fencing; in the off-season, sheep are housed in a bedded barn and fed locally produced hay. Beef cattle are also 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, started from calves sourced from other local farms, moved to fresh pasture every one to three days during the growing season, and fed locally produced hay in winter with no grain. Heritage-breed hogs are pasture-raised and moved to clean ground regularly with electric fencing; their diet is supplemented with Green Mountain Non-GMO swine feed, hay, vegetables, and whey. Chicken is sourced from partner Underline Farm in Easthampton and is pasture-raised and organically fed.
