Organic farm stand and cafe rooted in the original Earthbound Farm in Carmel Valley
Earthbound Farm Stand is the on-site retail and dining outpost of Earthbound Farm, born in 1984 on a 2.5-acre backyard plot in Carmel Valley and still farmer- and family-owned. The farm stand offers organic produce and flowers grown on the property, alongside gourmet groceries and an Organic Cafe serving breakfast and lunch. Cafe items include house-made sourdough, croissants, avocado toast, seasonal veggie omelets, smoothies, and fresh-pressed juices. The menu is 100% certified organic and carries CCOF certification. All products grown and sold by Earthbound Farm are USDA Certified Organic and CCOF certified, produced in accordance with the National Organic Program's regulations. The farm combines organic field farming with greenhouse growing to reduce water and land use. Regenerative agriculture practices are used to restore soil health, sequester carbon, and foster biodiversity. In partnership with the Xerces Society, the farm protects pollinators and deploys aerial drones to distribute beneficial insects across fields. Produce is non-GMO and grown without synthetic pesticides. Operations are powered in part by on-farm solar systems, and facilities are designed to run off-grid. Packaging uses 100% recycled plastic material, and a peel-and-reseal format reduces plastic use by 34 to 44 percent.
