Carmel Belle is a counter-service restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, known as a local institution for its unpretentious atmosphere and open kitchen. Breakfast highlights include poached egg dishes such as Green Eggs & Ham, Roasted Mushroom Melt, and Polenta with all the Fixings. Lunch and dinner feature items like a Chicken Cobb Salad, BLT with Avocado, Breakfast Burrito, and Chicken Brie Sandwich. Vegan diners will find a Tofu Scramble, 100% plant-based sandwiches, and a broad selection of salads. The restaurant also runs a juice and smoothie bar, and serves organic oak-roasted coffee. Carmel Belle sources its ingredients from Monterey County farmers and purveyors that practice sustainability. Meats are hormone-free, grass-fed or free-range, and humanely raised in California. Produce is mostly organic, purchased from local farmers' markets, farmers, and distributors that support small farms. For coffee, Carmel Belle partners with Mr. Espresso of Oakland, CA, who oak roasts organic beans. Juices and smoothies are made from local, organic fruits and vegetables.
