Family-owned farm growing vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers using organic methods.
Old Dial Road Farm is a 20-acre family-owned operation in Morganton, Georgia, growing a diverse mix of vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers. The farm produces an extensive range of crops across three seasons, from spring beets, kale, and lettuce to summer tomatoes, peppers, and melons, through fall collards, broccoli, and winter squash. Grow tunnels allow the farm to continue planting and harvesting lettuce, celery, spinach, radishes, turnips, kale, and carrots throughout the winter and spring. Customers can preorder weekly harvests through the farm's e-newsletter for pickup at the farm, or find Old Dial Road Farm at the Ellijay Farmers Market and Union County Farmers Market.
Old Dial Road Farm uses organic methods across all aspects of its farming operations, choosing not to use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, or genetically modified or fungicide-treated seed. The farm produces its own compost and uses screens and row covers to naturally deter pests. Wildflowers are planted to attract and support beneficial insects. A long-term cover crop plan and crop rotation program are in place to build soil fertility, and the farm maintains a commitment to biodiversity above and below ground to minimize environmental impact. The farm holds Certified Naturally Grown status for its produce and flowers.
