Crawley's Country Beef is a family-run ranch operated by Denver and Deanell Crawley. The ranch raises 100% Red Angus cattle (with Red Devon influence), Dorper sheep, Kiko goats, pastured poultry, and heritage pigs on a single central Texas property. Beef, lamb, and goat sold through the business come exclusively from the ranch's own herd. All meat is shrink-wrapped, frozen, and sold in individual cuts with nothing added during processing. Custom half and whole animal purchases are also available. Crawley's Country Beef practices organic standards across all its herds and flocks: no hormones, steroids, antibiotics, pesticides, or herbicides are used on forage pastures, and natural breeding is standard. Cattle, sheep, and goats are grass-fed and grass-finished, grazing freely year-round on a rotating mix of native and introduced perennial and annual grasses, including legumes. Most herd animals have been born and raised on the ranch since 1999, and genetics have been selected for meat quality over more than 30 years. Pastured poultry and heritage pigs are raised on pasture and supplemented with non-soy, non-GMO feed. Animals that require antibiotic treatment are removed from the herd and not sold through the business. Pastures are rotated to maintain soil health. No dyes, fillers, or additives are used in processing; some heritage pork cuts that are smoked and cured contain nitrites and spices.
