Pasture-raised eggs, vegetables, honey, and culinary mushrooms from a historic regenerative farm with a 24/7 farm stand.
Chanticleer Acres is a historic farm situated on a natural drumlin in the Litchfield hills, on a property whose farmhouse dates to around 1840. Restoration of the farm began in the 1990s under Harvey Hubbell V, with a focus on repairing infrastructure and rebuilding degraded soils. The farm produces pasture-raised eggs, a variety of vegetables, honey from its own hives, and culinary mushrooms. Products are available at a 24/7 on-site farm stand, at the Canton Main Street Farmers Market, and seasonally at the Litchfield Hills Farm-Fresh Market. Beyond selling food, Chanticleer Acres hosts on-farm classes and events covering topics such as herbalism, Korean Natural Farming, and orchard planting, offering hands-on connection to local agriculture. Learn more on their About Page.
Chanticleer Acres applies permaculture design and regenerative agriculture principles across the farm. The operation practices organic agriculture and is non-GMO. Eggs are pasture-raised and soy-free. The farm's stated aim is to grow high-quality, seasonal food while supporting the surrounding local food economy.
