Blue Ridge Honey Company is a family business owned and operated by Bob and Suzette Binnie, with beekeeping roots stretching back to 1981. Bob Binnie is a three-term past president of the Georgia State Beekeepers Association and was voted 2003 Georgia State Beekeeper of the Year. Blue Ridge Honey Company keeps its honey raw, natural, and pure. It is not pasteurized and is never finely micro-filtered. Honey is processed in a facility that undergoes inspections by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and in-depth third-party food safety audits are performed annually. The company also builds HDO hive components in-house, drawing on Bob Binnie's decades of beekeeping experience.
