Northern California farm offering raw milk herd shares, grass-fed beef, pasture-raised eggs, poultry, and cheese
Bannister Oak Farms is a Butte County, California farm founded in 2013 by Todd and Sherry Kruger. Todd grew up milking cows at age 8 and worked on dairies through high school; the couple later spent time in a Missouri Amish community to deepen their knowledge of sustainable farm-steading before returning to California to establish the farm. The farm sits in oak- and pine-covered hills and raises Jersey dairy cows, beef cattle, laying hens, and poultry. Products include raw milk (available through a herd share program), 100% grass-fed beef, pasture-raised eggs, small-batch poultry, and organic grass-fed cheese. The farm also partners with organizations working to combat human trafficking and support survivors. Learn more on their About Page.
Bannister Oak Farms operates a Jersey cow herd share program, through which members access raw milk. Its beef is 100% grass-fed, its eggs are pasture-raised, and its cheese is described as organic and grass-fed. Poultry is raised in small batches. The Krugers credit time spent living with an Amish community in Missouri with shaping their approach to sustainable farm-steading.
