Registered organic permaculture CSA farm growing vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers, and handmade herbal wreaths in the Sierra foothills.
Lindsay Organic Farm is a twelve-acre registered organic permaculture farm in the Sierra foothills, farmed by David and Tonya Lindsay since 1999. The farm runs a seasonal CSA program offering weekly boxes filled with fresh vegetables, fruit as it ripens, herbs and teas, eggs as available, and a bouquet of cut flowers. In spring, the farm sells organic vegetable, herb, and flower starts for home gardeners. In fall and winter, David and Tonya make handmade herbal wreaths finished with a wired bow, available in Culinary Bay, Rosemary, Olive, and Mixed Herbal varieties. CSA shares are offered on a pay-as-you-go basis rather than a large upfront subscription, and membership is limited to what the farm can supply in a given season.
Lindsay Organic Farm is a registered organic operation, and all produce is grown without synthetic inputs across the twelve-acre property. The farm is managed as a permaculture system, with fruit and nut trees, vegetable beds, herbs, teas, and cutting flowers layered across a foothill hillside. Tonya Lindsay brings more than ten years of experience as a Master Gardener with Nevada County, and David Lindsay comes from a ranching background in Texas. Spring starts sold by the farm are also organically grown.
