Purebred Texas Longhorn beef, grass-fed and grass-finished from a Hill Country family farm since 2003.
Bandera Grassland is a family-owned farm in the Texas Hill Country that has raised purebred Texas Longhorn beef since 2003. The farm produces 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef following American Grassfed Association standards from birth to harvest. Cattle graze open pastures in family groups and are allowed to reach full maturity at their own natural rate, which the farm credits for the complexity of flavor and marbling in the finished beef. Beef is dry-aged for tenderness and robust flavor, and is available in whole carcasses, sides, quarters, and eighths. Demand consistently exceeds supply, and bulk orders are accepted on a reserved basis.
Bandera Grassland follows American Grassfed Association standards from birth to harvest: no growth-promoting antibiotics, hormones, or animal by-products are ever administered, and cattle are never confined to a feedlot. The farm uses adaptive multi-paddock, high-intensity, low-frequency rotational grazing, a method the farm describes as regenerative, cycling animal waste through the soil to feed forage regrowth and sequester CO2. Cattle run in family groups, and calves are weaned after at least eight months based on the condition of the mother and available forage. The farm's land management is Certified Bird Friendly by the National Audubon Society, and the operation participates in the Savory Institute's Land to Market program. Bandera Grassland also holds a Green America Seal of Approval.
