Fifth-generation family farm raising grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, and free-range eggs in Medina County.
Grassfield Farm is owned and operated by the Bendele family in Hondo, Texas. Fohn, Jana, and their four children raise livestock the old-fashioned way on land their family has farmed in Medina County since the 1800s. The farm produces grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, and pasture-raised eggs year-round. Its cattle graze on a variety of grasses from start to finish, with no antibiotics, hormones, or grain used. Heritage breed pigs and free-ranging hens are also raised on open pasture. The ranch is certified and audited annually by the American Grassfed Association and holds Animal Welfare Approved status.
