Apache Spirit Bison Company is a Texas bison ranch and meat seller founded by Carson Nichols and John Rhodes. What started as a small group of bison selected for observation has grown into a herd of 250 animals roaming 5,500 acres in Mountain Home, Texas. We sell a wide range of cuts including ground bison, filets, New York strips, chuck roasts, spare ribs, tri tip, marrow bones, organ blends, burger patties, and bison jerky and snack sticks. Our products are available at farmers markets across the Boerne, San Antonio, and Austin areas, as well as through select retail outlets. We are members of the Texas Bison Association and the National Bison Association.

Our herd is grass-fed and finished, with no antibiotics administered at any time. If a bison becomes ill and requires antibiotics for treatment, that animal is removed from availability for consumer purchase. No hormones, steroids, or other artificial growth promotants are given or administered at any time. Bison are fed only all-natural ingredients such as native grasses, and baled grasses during drought or harsh weather. The herd roams freely across 5,500 acres and is humanely raised. All products are minimally processed. These practices meet USDA approved requirements as stated on our site.
