Family-run apiary and beekeeping supply farm offering bees, queens, nucs, and raw honey.
Autumn Morning Farm Beekeeping Supplies is a family-run, small-scale beekeeping operation owned and operated by Chris and George O'Neil. The farm supplies beekeepers with Italian bee packages, nucleus colonies (nucs), and Buckfast, Carniolan, Italian, and Varroa Sensitive Hygiene (VSH) queens, along with a full line of equipment, tools, and bee health products. It also produces honey under the label Aunt Chrissy's Honey, a local New England label with over 20 years of history. Honey is available for purchase directly at the farm, through select local retail stores, and at markets in the region. All orders are pickup only.
Autumn Morning Farm manages its apiaries and processes its honey using organic methods and organic standards. The majority of its hives are treatment-free, with treatments applied only when necessary. Nucleus colonies are New England over-wintered and northern-bred, raised locally in central Massachusetts, and are certified disease-free by a Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) apiary inspector. VSH and Buckfast queens are incorporated into the farm's nucs as a natural approach to mite and brood disease control. Aunt Chrissy's Honey is local, raw, and unfiltered; it is strained to remove excess wax but is not heated, preserving pollen grains, enzymes, and other natural attributes. The farm's apiaries are located on local farms managed by organic methods, and the farm supports local agricultural crop production through pollination services.
