Certified organic produce and cut flowers, soil-grown and family-owned in Teton Valley.
Alpenglow Farm is a certified organic, family-owned farm in Victor, Idaho, founded and operated by Ted Wells. Farming since 1996, Ted grows a rotating selection of vegetables and cut flowers on a five-acre property, with two acres in active cultivation or cover crops at any given time. Signature crops include spring mix, arugula, spinach, head lettuce, Genovese basil, Sungold cherry tomatoes, hardneck garlic, and fresh flowers. The farm does not operate a CSA; instead, its produce and flowers are stocked at grocers, markets, and restaurants across Teton Valley and Jackson Hole, including Whole Foods Market, Aspens Market, and Barrels and Bins.
Alpenglow Farm holds USDA Certified Organic status, achieved in 2002, and is also certified through the Real Organic Project. Organic certification was first obtained in 1997. All crops are grown in soil, and Ted uses cover crops to build and enrich the ground between production cycles. Two greenhouses extend the growing season for early and late plantings of greens, tomatoes, basil, and certain flowers. The farm draws irrigation water directly from the surrounding mountains.
