Certified organic seed potatoes in over 50 varieties, double-certified and grown in Idaho.
Grand Teton Organics is an Idaho farm specializing in certified organic seed potatoes, offering more than 50 varieties ranging from classic russets and Yukon Golds to heirloom fingerlings, purple varieties, and curated collections. The farm is owned and operated by John Hoggan, who has worked with more than 300 potato varieties over his career. Grand Teton Organics carries the Grown in Idaho® seal and sells both wholesale and direct to growers online. Its seed stock spans everything from everyday baking potatoes to specialty and heirloom selections, making it a resource for home gardeners and commercial growers alike. Learn more on their About Page.
Grand Teton Organics seed potatoes are double-certified: certified organic by CCOF under the USDA National Organic Program, and certified Blue Tag by the Idaho Crop Improvement Association for seed quality. All products are non-GMO. Every variety starts as tissue culture from a Potato Germplasm Bank, is grown out at Idaho State University labs into clean plants, and then transferred to greenhouse programs to produce mini-tubers before field production. Seed potatoes from the farm are no more than two field generations old. To prevent the buildup of viruses, bacteria, and fungal pests, John Hoggan rotates old stock out after two years and replenishes it with fresh mini-tubers.
