Pasture-raised beef, pork, eggs, and scratch bakery goods from a diversified family ranch in Texas Hill Country.
Wild Herd Cattle & Kitchen is a diversified family ranch on 64 acres in the Texas Hill Country, operated by Olivia and Dusty Kramer. The Kramers began farming in 2018 and expanded to their current property in 2022. The ranch raises cattle, pigs, and turkeys alongside laying hens, selling beef, pastured pork, and eggs directly to customers. A scratch bakery rounds out the shop with items such as brioche buns, Japanese milk bread rolls, and cinnamon swirl bread. Wild Herd also produces naturally tanned sheep and goat hides, turned into non-toxic leather goods. The ranch is a member of the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance (FARFA). Learn more on their About Page.
All meat and eggs at Wild Herd are 100% pasture-raised, with regenerative principles guiding how the land and animals are managed. Animals are moved regularly across pasture to protect the Hill Country landscape and encourage natural foraging behavior. Poultry and pigs are supplemented with locally sourced and milled non-GMO, soy-free grain, and all feed and supplemental forage is sourced locally. The ranch uses no synthetic herbicides or pesticides, and its stated tenets include improving soil fertility, maintaining native pasture vitality, and working in unison with native fauna and flora to support biodiversity.
