Grass-fed beef, pork, and chicken from a family-run farm with a year-round on-farm shop.
Whippoorwill Farm is a family-run farm operated by Allen and Robin Cockerline, raising grass-fed beef, pork, and heritage breed chicken. Allen has been raising cattle and growing grass for over 40 years. The farm's on-site shop is open year-round on Fridays and Saturdays, stocking a full range of beef cuts, pork, whole and half chickens, eggs, maple syrup, and honey. Organs, offal, and rendering fat are also available. Local restaurants and chefs source meat from the farm. All meat is sold frozen. Learn more on their About Page.
Whippoorwill Farm raises 100% grass-fed beef, with cattle fed hay and grass silage through the winter and no grain. The herd includes New Zealand-based genetics, Devons, Herefords, and Angus crosses. Cattle are rotated to fresh pasture every few days during grazing months. Beef is dry aged. Chickens are a heritage breed. The farm also carries raw honey sourced from Barr Hill, Caledonia Spirits in Vermont.
